MOMMY NEEDS A NAP!

Let me begin this post by saying that I LOVE my daughter dearly!! However, Lilli doesn't want Mommy to get any sleep lately. Last night is the perfect example of the last few weeks in the Daughety household... Danny put Lilli to bed at her normal bedtime of 8:00. By 11:00, she was wide awake!! I thought I'd just let her "work it out"... but after several minutes, Lilli's cries turned more desperate. When I went into her nursery to calm her down, she gave me the most bewildered look... she was frantically looking all around the room like she had seen or heard something scarey... the boogie man perhaps! I tried to calm her, but nothing I did worked.
I took her into the living room to rock her for a while and just when I thought she was asleep... her eyes popped back open! This went on for SEVERAL hours!!! Finally, I gave in... I put her in our bed. I have really tired to avoid doing that at all costs during our first few months with Lilli, but sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do!! She quietly slept on my chest for the remainder of the night. I guess she just wanted to be close to her Mommy...This morning "Miss Thang" was as happy as ever... giggling and full of energy. The lack of sleep didn't faze her! Ah, to be her age again...what a trooper?! But seriously folks... Mommy needs a nap!
