The day after Lilli fractured her elbow, we had a birthday party to attend for my best friend's son Samuel. Lilli had been talking about going to Samuel's party at the "Jumpin' Monkey" all week, so I knew there would be a great deal of disappoinment if we didn't go.
At first she was timid... but then my "fearless child" decided that NOTHING was going to stop her from having fun! I could not believe it! We had a great time and Lilli did just fine. I was much more worried about the other children getting in her way... that cast packs a punch! WOW!!

We're getting along fine on our end with the Lilli's cast. Finding clothes that fit over the cast has been the biggest hurdle... well, that and keeping it dry in the bathtub.
The memories of Friday are still causing Mommy nightmares... but I've come to the realization that THIS is what being a MOMMY is all about... AND I had better GET USED TO IT... especially with my sweet, accident prone child! :o)Hope everyone had a blessed weekend... ((HUGS))

So glad she was able to enjoy Samuel's party properly! She is so precious!!
Enjoy every moment (even the wet ones!) :)
Hey Mom!
Looks like the cast is going well. A tip for keeping it dry is to put her hand and cast in a clean/dry plastic bag with no holes. Tape securely around her arm just above the cast (on top of the bag - you're not taping it to her skin). This will seal it shut so she can take a bath as usual. Just dry her off real well before you take the bag off.
Good luck! (Can you tell we've had some experience here?) You could double bag it for extra security.
Just think - these are memories you are making!
