Wanted to share a few photos from this past weekend's Festival on the Neuse in our hometown. I worked at a strawberry shortcake booth for my work's Relay for Life team, so Danny brought Lilli down for a few hours of fun. My brother and sister-in-law participated in the pig cooking contest & my parents came out for the fun too. It was a great day... beautiful - but HOT!!
On a different note, Lilli had her nose recauterized yesterday. We went for our follow-up with Dr. Hosea and he said both nostrils had to be redone. I am thankful that the vaseline worked to prevent nose bleeds after the last visit with Dr. Beasley, however we were just placing a "cork in the damn". Eventually, the damn is going to burst. Thankfully, it's taken care of now. It was a very traumatic experience for both of us. She was in so much pain, so uncomfortable... poor, sweet babygirl! Please keep her in your prayers. It'll be a while before both nostrils heal... and if this process doesn't work he said he will have to do the procedure at the hospital under general anesthesia and it would be much more invasive.
