Time will tell...

The doctor opted NOT do the re-cauterization on Lilli. He seemed like a nice guy, but when I tried to ask him questions (as any concerned Mommy would do) I was stiffled. He wasn't there to answer my questions. He was there to talk and I was there to listen. PERIOD.
His recommendation, and I quote: "Put 2 globs of vaseline up her nose, 3 times a day." Are you kidding me? Why did I take time off of work for something that I could have been told over the phone. He barely even looked at her. What's more... WHY was I told that Lilli HAD to have a cauterization YESTERDAY? I could barely focus for worry... Sorry, I'm venting!!  Please don't get me wrong, I am VERY thankful. Lilli didn't have to experience the pain of the cauterization again. BUT I was left with no answers.
He also switched Lilli's "gameplan" all around... with exception of the humidifier/vaporizer. She's no longer on any meds... just the vaporizer and the vaseline.
Soooooo, as he advised... I put two globs of vaseline up her nose last night... & again this morning... & will do it again this afternoon. We will see what happens, only time will tell! Maybe the simplest of treatments will work for her. It's so amazing to me that two doctors, from the same practice, 'treat' their patients so differently.
We have a follow up with Lilli's regular ENT doc on Tuesday of next week... and HE will listen to my concerns. Boy, I missed him yesterday!!
