We enjoyed a Pre-Memorial Day party at my brother and sister-in-law's home. The food was so delicious... and I ate so much, I am truly surprised I didn't gain weight.
Lilli had a wonderful time playing with Kayden, my sister-in-law's grandson. They were so cute together. It's so funny listening to toddlers converse with one another. They have their own 'language'... LOL Lilli and Kayden said the funniest things to each other (sounded almost like gibberish) and then would bust out laughing... so cute!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday... ((HUGS))
Ohhhh, one more thing!! On 'thankful' note (because this IS "Thankful Thursday") I am thankful that Lilli is doing somewhat better after a trip to the ER the other evening. Her radial bone became dislocated AGAIN. We had a guest at our home, not familiar with Lilli's dislocation history. Unfortunately, this young lady pulled Lilli up off the floor, by her wrist. Lilli immediately grabbed her elbow and screamed in pain. We went to the ER and after a 2 hour wait, we were told it would be an additional 6 hours before we were seen by a doctor. NOT KIDDING!! We opted to leave, as we felt that she'd be more comfortable at home... & SHE WAS!!
(BTW... never-ever-ever-ever lift or swing a child by their wrist...The thought of it makes me cringe! I recently witnessed a gentleman swinging his 2 yr old daughter by the wrist in a grocery store and told him to "STOP IT!"... After explaining, he seemed genuinely 'thankful' that I shared my story.)
After a very rough, sleepless (for me) night, I took Lilli to the doctor the next morning and now her arm is doing much better. She is still 'favoring' her right arm, but that'll be normal for a day or so. The doctor says being Asian plays an influence on her being double jointed and her genetic make-up is the cause of her subluxation. He believes Lilli will grow out of it and I am praying she will... It is VERY PAINFUL for her & VERY PAINFUL to watch!!
