We sure do love taking a road trip... especially if it means seeing good friends! Lilli and I visited with the Casteen's - Isabella, Pat and Ronnie on Saturday. Danny had to work and was so disappointed that he couldn't go!! We met them at the North Carolina Blueberry Festival http://ncblueberryfestival.com/ in BEAUTIFUL Burgaw! Y'all, I could live there!!! It's a Mayberry type town... so friendly and picture perfect! We had a great time (even at 95° degrees w/ balmy 100% humidity)... and I even had a plate of fried pickles! YUMMY!!! No, they are NOT on my diet... but neither was the Bar-B-Q pork sandwich I ate! Yep, I took one for the team... and I have to say, if I was going to cheat on my diet, fried pickles is THE WAY to do it!!
The girls enjoyed playing with each other... and Pat, Ronnie and I enjoyed visiting for a bit. I wish we could have stayed all day, but my lil' bug was needing her nap and sleeping at the festival was NOT going to be an option.
Casteen family, we can't wait to see you again later in the summer... next time with Danny! Love & miss you bunches!!!
