Today, I am thankful for Lilli's doctor, Dr. Collins, who willingly switched her from Augmentin to Zithromax. Let me assure you, we ALL slept better last night because of it!!! Monday & Tuesday nights were NOT pleasant! Lilli cried so much and when she finally fell asleep, she'd thrash around and kick us. She wasn't happy being separated from us because she felt so rotten, so we let her sleep with us. Warning to anyone out there that has a child... Only allow your child take this medicine as a last resort!! Believe me, Augmentin is some seriously MEAN STUFF!! I have heard others say that it's difficult for adults to ingest too. We have officially placed it on our "not in a million years" prescription list.
I am also thankful for our wonderful pharmacists, Tom and Catherine Thutt... They are a truly special couple! They are genuine and so funny. They always give such good, solid advice! Danny and I trust everything they say!!! They are also new grandparents too! Congratulations Grandma & Grandpa Thutt! At Lilli's baptism, we chose Tom to be the church Elder to present Lilli to the congregation and stand by our side... & we are soooo happy that he agreed!
I am thankful for my parents... boy, am I thankful for my parents!!!! They have been so helpful... taking super, good care of Lilli... 3 days last week & again 3 days this week. Danny and I had to work, so they offered to help out. They've got to be tired!! They are such good grandparents and Lilli adores them. She runs into their arms when she sees them... Lilli calls out Nana & Papa's names for HOURS after I pick her up in the afternoon. Am I blessed, or what? 
Finally, I am thankful that it appears that we "may" be on the road to recovery! This has been a BIG uphill battle!!! It has been so hard. In general, parenting is hard, but when your child is sick... it's a whole new ballgame!
Keep praying my precious prayer warriors! You are appreciated and loved so much!!

Goodness, Jen! I fell of the face of the earth myself recently...more on that in a blog post this week...plus my computer got a virus, and I had to clear off the hard drive and forgot to save my "favorites"...so I'm trying to regroup and find everyone's blog addresses! I was so happy you commented on mine!
Anyway, I cannot believe how sick your little one has been! I've had those times, but they are ever so draining and difficult. She looks so pitiful in those pix! And, yes, Augmentin is some crazy nasty stuff. My big girls used to cry if the doctor prescribed "the yucky white stuff"! And usually it meant at least one episode of seeing it come back up. It works wonderfully, but it is hard to take. Hopefully, the Zithromax will do the job. It usually works well on ears and bronchitis.
Okay, well, I am in a bad habit of leaving very long blog comments lately...I'll try to stay in better touch...oh, yeah...holidays coming...sure, no problem! :-)
Glad to hear that you all were able to get some much needed rest last night. I know what you mean about being thankful for your parents because I don't know what I would do without my mom. I know that Lilli is on the road to recovery and a quick one at that.
