We celebrated the final day of Chinese New Year last night with a visit to our favorite restaurant, House of Wang! They’ve got the most delicious food in town!! Of course, Lilli had to dress for the occasion!
Chinese New Year celebrations always end on the 15th of the First Moon with the “Lantern Festival”. On the evening of the Lantern Festival, people carried lanterns into the streets to take part in parades. The parade includes a famous dragon dance. The dragon may be close to 100 feet long and is made of bamboo, silk, and paper.
We are so very thankful to be home with Lilli and very honored to be able to incorporate Chinese New Year into our own holiday traditions. We want Lilli to be proud of her birth country, it’s rich traditions, holidays and heritage.
