This Thankful Thursday, I am thankful I have a HEALTHY daughter!!!
Over the last few days, I have been listening to the annual radio-thon for Duke's Children's Hospital, on one of my favorite stations MIX 101.5 www.wralfm.com Over the years they have raised MILLIONS for the Children's Hospital! The money raised not only goes towards medical research, but also buys toys & games for the hospitalized children!
Duke www.dukeschildrens.org is a leader in cutting edge procedures and medical care. This facility means a lot to me, as a friend’s son had surgery there as an infant… I know they took very, very good care of him!
You can’t take the health of a child for granted… not for a single minute. Everything may be okay today, but tomorrow… well, you just never know! I feel blessed to know Duke Medical Center and Children’s Hospital are only a few hours away... What a gift!!
If you feel compelled, please donate to the Duke Children’s Hospital. Can't imagine a better gift, than to give to the life of a child!!

I am thankful for my friend Jen and her beautiful family that I get to watch grow on this blog!!!
I am also thankful for Lily's health, even though she has a slight ear infection at the moment. But, that still did not keep her from entertaining all the nurses at the doctor's office today! So, she is not doing too badly! Have a great weekend!
I too am thankful for my healthy daughter. You are so right that it can be taken away so quickly and without warning. Like Stephanie I am thankful for my friend Jen and her family.
