Thankful Thursday!

On this "Thankful Thursday", I am thankful that Lilli loves our dogs! I know that it may sound like a silly reason to be thankful, but so many children are petrified of dogs. We already had Merry Freckles & Annabelle Lee before Lilli became our daughter, so we were a bit worried that she would be scared of them. Merry Freckles (a border collie) was my dog long before Danny and I met... I've had her for 12 years. Annabelle Lee (the wonder mutt) became a part of our family about 6 years ago.
Danny & I don't let Lilli get in the middle of them... they are big enough that they'd bowl her over. We will, however, hold Lilli and let her "pat-pat" or she'll admire them through the sliding glass door.I had mentioned a post a few days ago that our cat has adjusted well to Lilli... Well, our dogs have too! They got so much attention before Lilli and even though that attention has now been cut in 1/2 (or even by a 1/4) they are very content. They seem very interested in their new playmate, giving her lots of puppy kisses. They can't wait til' we let her loose in the backyard to throw a ball or frisbee. We go outside all the time and she talks to them in some strange high-pitched dialect. It's precious!
Her most favorite thing to do in the morning is to give the "pup-pups" treats.... and believe me, they are very appreciative of her kind gesture! In the photos above, they are patiently waiting for Lilli to pass out their morning treats. Merry Freckles is in the top photo and Annabelle Lee is in the bottom photo patiently waiting for the treat that Lilli is grasping in her hands.
Have a happy Thankful Thursday! What are you thankful for today?

Lilli looks beautiful in pink. Your dogs are so patient. My three would not be so good if they were being given a treat. Can you come train my dogs? PLEASE!!!!

I am thankful for your sweet friendship! My middle son (20 yr old now) used to tell his gramma, "I wish you were my nexnor neighbor." Well, I wish you were my nexnor neighbor! Your Lilli is adorable and wow is she changing fast! Thank you for all of your encouraging and loving comments on our blog.
Stop in and see us some time in KC. Hey, Alissa P. is having Leila Grace dedicated at the same service we are having our girls dedicated at. Small world huh?
