My little colorbug... my little artist!

Lilli is facinated with colors. She is getting really good at pointing out different colors and calling them by name. It took some doing, believe me. For a while, every color we pointed to, Lilli referred to as "purple". Her latest funny habit... every crayon or colored pencil she picks up, she announces the color LOUDLY and most of the time she's right!

Speaking of which... Parents, do you keep all of your children's artwork or let some of them go??? The container in which I have been storing Lilli's art is overflowing. Don't want to be a bad parent and throw any of these masterpieces away. She works so hard on these drawings. I really don't like the thought of disposal... but my house is only so big, ya' know!?? I do have several pieces that I plan on framing. Some of her artwork from daycare is priceless!!!
Hope everyone has a blessed Thursday!! ((HUGS))

Hey Jen....
I can tell you that now with 4 kids, I just can't save it all. Here's what I do (or what my friends have done...)

1. Take photos of each, store them on a jump drive/memory stick. You may never print them, but it will make you feel better.
2. Videotape the art...my friend Traci does this and the kids like looking back.
3. Keep all from one year, then go through and keep your 5 favorites. Let someone else put the items that 'didn't make the cut' in the recycling bin.
4. Use a rotating frame that is easy to change out.
5. Keep it all for 8 years, then decide that you need that bedroom back. THEN spend several hours picking your favorites, crying over the ones you toss, and then just forget it and save them anyway. I've done this, but I'm getting better.

Good luck---love to Lilli!
